Check google classroom for documents pertaining to this week. The annotations and poem analysis worksheet are the handouts you need to focus on first.
1. If you missed class on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday then you need to make sure you hand in your constructed response.
2. Make sure you make up your vocabulary assessment (Vocab 9) if you missed class on 4/16 or 4/17.

April 6th through April 10th
We wrote, read, analyzed, and discussed lots of poems this week.
1. After reading/viewing a few list poems (Fear, Direct Orders, and A Litany) you wrote your own list poem.
2. We shared either our list poem or our ode in class. You need to comment on one of these for each person in your class.
3. We voted on Round One parts I and II of Poetry Madness.
4. You need to write a constructed response on one of the poems we've read in class.
5. You have a vocabulary assessment (Quack 9) next week. Make sure you take it early if you are going to be absent.

On Thursday and Friday we worked on Neruda's odes. Your homework is to write an ode to an everyday object using imagery, alliteration, metaphor or simile, personification, and repetition.
